Asked by Feizal Lasim

Hi there... need help to "recover my /usr/bin/dpkg". Are this 'cause by manual installing "dpkg-repack" ?? In it's manual say that this program will monitor any change in installing new apps/program and it will perform update at " /home/user/dpkg-repack".... By the way, it's only give me couple hours of waiting for nothing.. It's only print on my Terminal & can't see any folder "dpkg-repack" at "/home/user >>>

P.S: Can u give me any link to Program Backup/Recover ?? so important to me 'cause I always get stuck at Login windows that's always make me do install ubuntu again.. Thanks..

You could boot to live cd and copy the file to your partition from the live CD. You should then boot to the installed OS and download the dpkg deb from packages.ubuntu.com (for your release) and install it. This will update the file to the newest version.

Can you help with this problem?
