Update Information Outdated

Open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type or better copy and paste a row a time then press enter:

(the system ask you a password give your user password, you will not see nothing when you type it, then press enter)

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

to update your system.

I think the problem is still on....

Please post here the content of your /etc/apt/sources.list file

If you access:

There is no Lucid repo there, only Intrepid, Jaunty and Karmic

You should remove the repo, it is of no value to you

I had that problem a few times. All it means is that some of the servers are down/inaccessible. Wait a day and retry updating.
