Newbie to Ubuntu, please help . SystemError: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/d/dkms

Hi, im new to this Ubuntu OS and got stuck somewhere.

When i go to the Hardware Drivers section and wanna activate the NVDIA accelerated graphics driver which was recommended, i highlighted it then i activated it, BUT

it came back with this message

SystemError: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/d/dkms/dkms_2.1.1.2-2fakesync1_all.deb 404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.88.31 80]

Can someone help me out?

Try changing server to a different one using softare sources. DON'T click "use best server", manually choose one, should help. The link worked fine for me. You may just need to run:

sudo apt-get -qq update; sudo apt-get -qq -y upgrade

Then try again.

ermm, i dont get the changing sever to a different one using software sources part, i just started with this like an hour ago, still kidna new to the terms and stuff,
