Xenial this time, but every other release also, only some finally relented and gave me sound. Why is this pulseaudio thing still living?

What is the issue?
No sound at all, or distorted sound, or background noise, or inability to play music from certain media or from streams, or...?

Have you ever tried the https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingProcedure

Instead of starting a rant please provide useful information.

Can you help with this problem?
