Try downloading again but when it asks where to save it take a look at what location it's defaulting too. If you are using ubuntu it's probably going to your /home or desktop. You can also open nautilus (places - home or places computer) and search for it.

You might also try the following in a terminal
Type in
sudo apt-get install ubuntustudiolauncher ubuntustudio-audio ubuntustudio-audio-plugins ubuntustudio-graphics ubuntustudio-video
(depending on what you want)
Or, you could open up Synaptic (sudo synaptic or Systems-->Administration-->Synaptic) and search for "ubuntustudio" and you will can use the checkboxes to install what you want. Make sure you install the ubuntustudiolauncher, which will later show up in Applications, Sound and Video, as Ubuntu Studio.

I think if you want to install with Synaptic or apt-get you will need to enable their repositories. check this page.

http://ubuntustudio.org/downloads

Scroll down a bit and it talks about adding their repos and the info to install it that way. Otherwise, your best bet is to use the DVD - assuming you can find the file :-)

Good luck.

My Feisty doesn't have any special repositories besides the multiverse and universe.

Well, there are a couple ways to get ubuntu studio. One is to download it and burn the iso file to a dvd. If you downloaded but don't know where it was saved then you will have to search for it. There isn't much else you can do.

The second option is to install it on top of an already installed version version of ubuntu. This will not replace ubuntu but simply add in the ubuntu studio applications. In order to do this, you will need to follow the directions on the ubuntu studio web site. In short, you will have to edit the /etc/apt/sources.list file and add in the ubuntu studio repositories. If you don't have these repos, then you will not be able to install ubuntu studio this way. To add the repos, do (from the ubuntu studio web site)....

sudo su -c 'echo deb http://archive.ubuntustudio.org/ubuntustudio feisty main >> /etc/apt/sources.list'
wget -q http://archive.ubuntustudio.org/ubuntustudio.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add - && sudo apt-get update

Once you do that, do

sudo apt-get install ubuntustudio-desktop

to install the base applications.

I'll try again later. Don't have the time with so much to learn about ubuntu. Thanks anyway
