how to install photoshop 5.5 and 7.0 on ubuntu 9.10 & 9.04

i have upgraded my ubuntu 9.04 to ubuntu 9.10
and i m a new user so i m not able to install photoshop 5.5 and 7.0 on ubuntu
so kindly help me to install photoshop and other designing softwares etc...
also tell me how to use ubuntu 9.10 more
plz do the needful asap

5.5 has a gold rating (near perfect)

You may want to buy 8.0 which gets a platinum rating (perfect)

Actionparsnip is referring to running Photoshop under WINE, a compatibility layer that lets you run Windows software.
That is a package you will need to install before attempting Photoshop.

If it is not Photoshop specifically, but just image editing software you need, try GIMP.
