downloads

Asked by AmandaLaruee

Everytime I try and download something off line it says it downloaded and I click on it it either doesn't do anything or it says application not found...I dont know what application to use to open these downloads or how, if someone knows the answer to this please help me, thanks!

 Any, like yahoo messenger, anything i download off line - it says it opens with my desktop.

You mean you've downloaded a Windows setup file (.exe) and you're trying to install it on Ubuntu? Ubuntu doesn't use .exe files unless you install Wine.

Ubuntu has Pidgin Instant Messenger (Applications > Internet > Pidgin Instant Messenger) which works with Yahoo.

I recommend getting WINE i have it so i can play WoW lol sure its a nerdy game but i have to admit its very addicting plus a few of my freinds play it pretty neat little program WINE is!
