Hello Sharon,

I assume you are submitting your question here because you are trying to play gamepost.com games on Ubuntu. Here are directions on installing the Flash, which gamepost.com requires, on different versions of Ubuntu.

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/Flash

If you are still experiencing problems, please provide us with your info on which OS, browser, and flash plugin version you are using.

Cheers,
Edwin

Hi Sharon,

What browser are you using? Is it firefox or konqueror or something else? What version of Ubuntu are you running?

Cheers,

Add to your source list

deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu jaunty partner

if you don´t use Jaunty replace name in the repo with name of version you use.Save and close file.

sudo apt-get update

Go to the synaptic and remove flashplugin-nonfree and install adobe-flashplugin.

HI :)

Have you managed to get games working yet? I think using Synaptic Package Manager
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SynapticHowto
to search for "flash player" then make sure you haven't already got "gnash" and "swfdec-gnome" installed. These 2 work quite well together but clash with adobe. I prefer using the adobe one even tho its not OpenSource.

I thought you might find it helpful to work through all the steps in this guide to sort out all your multimedia and make sure you haven't missed a step
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

Also this guide is sometimes useful for having a quick look for things now and then
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SwitchingToUbuntu/FromWindows

Have you installed Ubuntu as a proper dual-boot
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WindowsDualBoot

Please let us know how it's going
Good luck and regards from
Tom :)
