Compatibility

I realy love linux and introducing many users. But it aint compatible with pagemaker, ms office, and power dvd. What aint right?

Actually, it is the other way around. Those programs are not compatible with Linux.
There are equivalent programs in the Linux world, for instance ms office -> OpenOffice.
Also, in Linux you can install WIne, which will make it possible to run natively many executables made for ms os-es.

Hi,

Thanks 4 the prompt response. Can i get these application as i have ordered for linux. I want to make my home a linux village.

You will get OpenOffice already installed with Ubuntu, as well as cd/dvd burning applications and a plethora of others.
Once you have Ubuntu, just click on Add/Remove programs in Menu and you will be offered many others ordered by category.
For WIne, you will have to download the wine package. In Ubuntu, you can use the Synaptic Package Manager for that, after adding universe to your repositories list (Menu->System->Administration->Software Sources).
