No Programs on Panel

Asked by HES

Both here, and when I try 'minimize does not go to panel' for a question, the answers say to right click on the panel, select 'Add To Panel' then window list or task list. When I right click on the panel I get 'System Tray Settings' , and 'Panel Options'. Under panel options there is, Add Widgets, Add Panel, Lock Widgets, and Panel Settings. Not "Add To Panel", and nothing about Window, or Task List. I am using Kubuntu 9.04

The majority of the directions you are reading are likely for the GNOME desktop environment. Kubuntu uses KDE and thus will have different menu items.

Select "Add Widgets" after right-clicking on your panel. Then look for a widget that looks appropriate. It will probably be named something like "Window List" or "Task List."

I would usually give step-by-step directions; however, I don't have KDE installed at the moment. I hope this helps.

Thank you! It turned out to be "Task Manager" I hate to ask a follow up
question, but is there a way to reposition what I have on the Panel?
This got added to the right of everything else, crunching up everything.
I would like to have the clock, and trash can all the way to the right
where it always has been.
