Active X

Asked by Rob Frerejean

Hello,

My Chinese bank requires Active X. Here is the site to the bank.

https://mybank.icbc.com.cn/icbc/enperbank/index.jsp

What can I do to make it work in my Ubuntu 9.04 with Firefox?

Realy important to me, because I can´t see my account and can´t pay my bills.

Thankx

Rob

You can attempt to use IEs4Linux. More information about which is available here:

A quick Google search shows that people have had limited success getting ActiveX websites to work with it though.

I'd discuss with the webadmin this statement
>To help you identify the bogus websites, please download and install the ICBC ActiveX for anti-fi
and which alternative they offer to keep the account.

##Actually I don't know if I should cry or laugh loud about this argument.

Hope you wrote to them though -- I did write to ICBC about the same thing earlier, they said they'd consider letting other operating systems in. If there's enough people asking that may become easier...
