You are misinterpreting the situation.
Your output "Driver Info #0: Driver Status: mt7601u is active" confirms that a driver for the WLAN device is already installed.
If the device does not work correctly, then the cause must be something else.
The output of the troubleshooting procedure may help identifying what's going wrong. If you do not provide it, then we cannot help.

We will open and disassemble it to see what is happening because RALINK appears, the name of the Driver, but it remains Disconnected.

The problem with the delay is because we did not receive the notice by email.

What output does the "sudo dmesg | grep mt76" command produce, if you boot into a 5.15-* kernel?

Revision history for this message
Jeremy (wa113y3s) said :

Once in a 5.15 kernel, in terminal do

sudo apt install git dkms
git clone https://github.com/jeremyb31/mt7601u-5.15.git
cd mt7601u
make -C /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/build M=$(pwd) modules
sudo cp mt7601u.ko /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/mediatek/mt7601u/

Secure Boot has to be disabled in UEFI/BIOS settings, reboot

Reboot back into the same 5.15 kernel
