Intel Corporation Wireless-AC 9260 not working

Asked by Marcus

I have recently installed Ubuntu 22.04 on my computer but I found out that it was not connecting to internet. After making some research, I found out the issue was my network driver and that other peoples had the same problem with some Intel network card. I searched for solution but it seems that nobody managed to solve the problem (or I don't find the answer to solve it).

The driver for Intel Corporation Wireless-AC 9260 is in my /lib/firmware directory. The driver seems to have a issue when trying to be initialised, it return an "Failed to run INIT ucode: -61". Can I get some help?

I suggest that you follow https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WirelessTroubleshootingProcedure for diagnostic purposes (with the deviation, that in step 3 you do not create a new question document, but please put all output into this one which you have already created).

The configuration I am currently using is:

Motherboard:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz
GPU: NVIDIA Corporation GP104 [GeForce GTX 1080]

I'm currently running Ubuntu 22.04 on a HDD. I also have Windows, but installed on a separated disk

Here is what I get when I run the lspci -nn command:
