asound.state varies from computer to computer

Asked by Douglas Gilbert

I have tried every version of asound.state that I have found on the internet help sites for no sound on Chromebook computers. None of them have worked and the change that happens after changing asound, state also varies. But so far nothing has worked, If you have a Samsung ChromeBook 3 computer and have a system that is running Ubuntu 20.04 I would like to hear frpm you and obtain a copy of your asound.state from /var/lib/alsa.

I already trie this and it didn't work. I am almost certain that asound.state is computer configuration dependent.

Thank you for your response. I currently running 20.04 and have problems
too so I will use these steps to see if I can fix the sound problem.
