download mate on 20.04 w/software manager

I have upgraded from 18.04 to 20.04. I would now like to install mate in order to install cnc software. being new to computers
if i can use software manager instead of terminal there should be less screw ups on my part thanks for any help

In my opinion the easiest way to install the MATE desktop environment is with a terminal command

sudo apt install mate-desktop-environment-extra

You can copy and paste the command, so the risk of screwing something up is very limited.
