Libre Office Base migration to Postgre

Asked by Deborah Ranchuk

Fairly new to Ubuntu. Libre Office Base worked just fine, now it crashes when I try to open it even using Ubuntu, or postgre in the Tools>Options
What am I doing wrong? I really need this database to function.

For diagnostic purposes please provide the output that you receive for the following commands (to be executed in a terminal window):

uname -a
lsb_release -crid
apt-cache policy libreoffice-base

Deborah, you need to copy the commands to a terminal and press ENTER, then copy the output and paste it as an update on

The output of the first two commands is finally visible to us, but the third one is still missing, see https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/699034

The installed version looks correct.

What exactly happens when you try starting libreoffice-base?

The program opens fine. When you try to open a form or a table, it crashes.

I just tried other database files, and they seem to work just fine. It
could be that this particular critical file has been corrupted somehow.
I will continue to investigate.

I loaded an archive copy of the file, and it behaves as it should. Sorry
for bothering a busy site. Next time I'll know to check more than one
file first before asking the question.

Many thanks for your time and patience.
