problems with connecting printer

Have HP Laser Jet Pro MFP M125nw printer and HP Envy Desktop 750-177c machine. 18.04 cannot detect printer. Had no problems with old Dell. How can I get my printer to print? Please advise.

Kept getting "device not found" while running setup to USB. Ran lsusb. Did not see printer. Changed cable connecting printer to pc. It now works. Therefore, this was a hardware problem, not software and the problem is now resolved.
