Screen Locks up occasionally while watching youtube video.

Asked by Tom Tosh

Running 20.04 Ubuntu. Love it! Sometimes when watching video on facebook (youtube video I think) I lose the controls in the upper right corner of the screen. (minimize, maximize, dropbox, all controls. At that point I can do nothing. I have tried Alt/Control/Delete but nothing happens. The only solution is to shut down manually.
Any help would be appreciated.

I did some research and was advised to uncheck Hardware Acceleration in
Firefox.  I will try this for now and see what happens.  I did have the
same issue recently before changing FF settings. We'll see.
Thanks for your assistance.

Best Wishes,
Tom

Try Chrome too. If it's the same there then it's something else. If chrome is OK then it's a Firefox issue
