20.04 LTS - WiFi disconnecting on MacBook Pro 13" 2011

Asked by bau5

I installed Ubuntu 20.04 LTS last night on my Macbook Pro 13" 2011 and the wifi keeps disconnecting intermittently. Previously, I was on Debian stable and I've tried 18.04 LTS on it without any issues.

Steps taken to resolve issue:

- Toggle airplane mode. It fixes the issue for the moment but after a while the wifi randomly disconnects
- Rebooting and resetting my modem/router
- Connecting to another wifi network

I'm happy to provide any logs/system info if required.

Awesome, thank you Scott!

Just FYI - I have reverted back to 18.04 because I couldn't get any work done with the disconnects so unfortunately I won't be able to provide any more logs/info.
