can't connect to the internet

go to applications------accessories-------terminal and write the following
command:
 sudo pppoeconf (enter)
 [sudo password] (give ur ubuntu login password) then press (enter)
 go on clicking yes then when it asks for ur username give ur internet
username (enter)
 then give ur internet password (enter)
 then again go on clicking yes. after clicking yes for the last time u
should be able to connect to the internet.
