restore file

how can i restore a file that now i can't open?and i don't know why i can't open.. :)

able to open ??? It's in your home directory, or this file

thank you for your answer,
it's a openoffice file and it's in the home directory.the problem exist with all off openoffice files, there's a comunication for make the restore file but then i can't do that.i don't know why..

This files were done with a old version of openoffice ???

Which error message does openoffice spit out? If you just can't "click" your file, you might right click on the file (in nautilus), select "Properties", select the tab "Open With" and change it to "OpenOffice.org Word Processor"

Can you help with this problem?
