LG Memory stick device asking 4 SCSI ?? Where is it ?

I have a LG Memory stick that fitts into USB port. I cant get it to work and looking at the manual it says (For Linux it is necesary to mount SCSI ) How do I do that ? Where is it and what is it ?

When you plug in the usb stick and then click on "Places" in the top taskbar you can't see anything that looks like the usb stick. I often find it difficult to tell because it tends to be called something unhelpful like 128.4 MB Media although i usually do get a pop-up folder appear with all the stuff that's on the usb stick.

Do you have anything on the usb stick?

There is a way to force-mount a drive like this but i don't know it. Also there is a way of looking at all the drives on your machine but it's a very powerful tool and worth avoiding if we can find another way.

Thank you for your reply. In places there are no indicators of the memory stick or any other media references. There is at present no information on the memory stick. If it is not recognised in Ubanto how can information be put on to it ? What is SCSI ?
