No sound even my sound card is identified

My sound card is HDA ATI SB sound card which is identified in kubuntu but no sound

Any help

I have installed Alsa latest drivers as the first link and also tried every bit of help by modifying the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base file

nothing is worked

I give up I hope they fix it in next release of Kubuntu

I installed Ubuntu and everything works fine

Actually this is not solved . I wish this will be resolved in the next release of Kubuntu because in Ubuntu everything works fine
