If you wanna search a package: sudo aptitude search <Pack_name or Descript>

If you wanna install a package: sudo aptitude install <Pack_name>

If you wanna reinstall a package: sudo aptitude reinstall <Pack_name>

If you wanna remove a package: sudo aptitude remove <Pack_name>

all package installed, was download to /var/cache/apt/archives then gived to dpkg with option -i to be installed, all this work is by the APT.

more info type in the terminal:

  man aptitude

after i put tje pack and name stuffs pop up but i dont know if its installed or not

In a terminal type:

sudo dpkg -l

You will see all your installed package.
