Setting date on Router

 My Belkin ADSL modem high speed router F5D7633-4 shows a date of 1970 January 12th in the set up I cant seem to alter it and the router will not connect properly as date from some 38 years ago seems a bit odd to say the least..
it does not change no matter what I alter in the set up

HELP......

I am assuming you can login into the router. If you can you may need to look for settings to adjust your NTP settings and point it to a valid NTP server. http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/ntp.html

That website will give you a list of active servers.
