Can't get mic to work in xubuntu!

Hello!

My microphone was working just after a fresh install, later I installed skype and it was also working but from now on I don't know what happened I can not record, can not use Skype.

Anyone help or idea.

I tried alsa reload and force-reaload but still the same, I tried also to reinstall alsa drivers and patches but nothing happened. Anybody any idea.!?????????

The mic is not worked from the normal source - it is worked from Skype. Open Skype. Hit the "S" button on the bottom left and click "Options". Choose Sound Devices. I had to change mine for and option with "hw" in it. Play about. Make a test sound. Make a test call.

Try this:

Open Terminal a write:

amixer sget Mic

Post the "Return", Please.
