wifi disconnected after update
my wifi was switched off after updating ubuntu. This seems a common problem aas it happened after updating 4 different pcs over the about a 2 years. 2 hps and 2 acers. Also included lite lubuntu and ubuntu. Maybe there is a simple common fix for all. I have just been buying a wifi adaptor for each one and they all work fine. Thanks

Thanks for the time and effort. I am not pc savvy enough to do this every time there is an up.date. Is it possible when an install is working ok to just update the security part of the update without turning off the wifi.

i just have to respond. you guys with linux do a great job providing a free system to the old xp users for example to keep them connected. About every pc I installed linux in every form from puppy to ubuntu I donated to a low income senior center To get a response like upgrade away is kind of disgusting to say the least.
Thanks for all your help
