slow computer

Hello there, which plugins did you install? Did you try to remove the plugins?

My problem is: i want Ubuntu, is the better Linux for me (simply, beauty, good), because i have different ancient pc to restart, but i don't have internet, and i would a system light as Xubuntu Dapper Drake, but with the feature of the last version. Xubuntu Hardy is too weight for my old pc.
I try Fluxbuntu, but don't start the initial start, don't stard.
What can i do?

Stefano, what are the specifications of your computer? What processor, how much memory does it have, what graphics card is in it?

I want save old computers for children of school and for the people that need it but they don't have enough money to sold a new pc.

but i want Ubuntu o derivates (it's better), i'm not a expert with programming.......

Hmmm, that's quite low... These computers would do great as LTSP clients, so if you have a modern computer in school, it could be used as a server. More on LTSP look here: http://www.ltsp.org
