Canon printer via cnijnet doesn't work anymore after upgrade to kernel 3.13.0-66

Asked by rincewind

After upgrade from kernel 3.13.0-65 to 3.13.0-66 my canon printer mg3250 (connected via cnijnet) doesn't react anymore (both printer and scanner). Cups is still working. When I boot the old kernel, the jobs are printed.

Update: the printer is connected wireless.

Reinstallation of driver package failed while looking for my printer, no connection could be established. I tried to connect it manually afterwards, but it failed with the same reason.

Update 2: the print function works using the builtin driver and the device-address lpd://canon/PASSTHRU (where canon is the hostname of my printer) instead of cnijnet:/2C-9E-FC-B5-21-D5. The scanner-function is still down.
I have no idea how to recompile the driver package (source is available), perhaps this could help.

So the problem is solved.

I have the same issue with a Canon MX870. Kernel 3.13.0-65 printed ok, 3.13.0-66 didnt, 3.13.0-68 was ok , but all kernels since 3.13.0-68 will not print .
