Installs on system harddrive, but mounts on media ?

14.04.02 LTS died! when reinstall, it screwed up. Back to 15.04 Vivid, it installs on system hard-drive but mounts on media ? I have all updates and upgrades, and I opened Disks, to see if I could change the boot, but the (Gear Icons) are missing ? And if I try to restart, I will loose all updates and upgrades, Dilema People... OK, I want it mounted on my system not on USBs file- media, So, if I have to reboot, what ideas do you have ? Are you sure that you correctly selected the hard disk as installation target?

What do you want to tell with the expression "mounts on media"? I do not understand what the problem is (usually the system is set to automatically mount all available external media).

This is another dist, of 15.04 but it is installed....... Odd though.

This is closed! Had to get another Dist, but it is installed, I took a screenshot of the Boot prams which were odd, and it says: You change this and it will not work. I sent it through an e-mail, you will get it. Thanks Guys, case closed.
