Problem with websites
sorry if this was solved already. I really tried to find a solution before doing this.
Travel websites: I can't select any dates, and sometimes they can't find the airport either.
News websites: I can't select the topics using the arrows < > or tabs. Videos run sometimes.
Java version 1.7.0.76 was tested and runs just fine in Firefox Ubuntu 14.04. 64 bit. No blockers run

Additionally I havethe exact problems under Oracle VM Victual Box with a full licensedsoftware of W7 64 bit and Internet Explorer. Is there anything I needto change/install on Ubuntu to solve this problem.

If you have similar problems accessing web pages with different browsers and different operating systems, then there is a high chance that your problem is caused by your network connection, and not by the software.

I connect via my smartphone via the same router to the same websites just fine. How can it be the network connection?

You have not provided enough information so far that it could be possible to identify the root cause of your problem.
You have not told us the names of the web sites that do not work, nor have you explained what there is happening (or not happening) if you try accessing them.
Please add some more details.

Again, your router is nothing more than a very specialised PC. It has a low power CPU and RAM just like the thing you are looking at now. Rebooting them from time to time is good (especially home grade routers)
Please mark as solved if the issue is as such

What temp files do you have in the root folder that you want to delete?
Maybe we can give better advice if you provide us with the output of the commands
uname -a
lsb_release -crid
df -h
df -I
dpkg -l | egrep ' linux-[hi]'
sudo ls -la /
