the flash player needs updating. I don't know how to do that. please update it for firefox and include it with the next firefox update.

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ shows that Adobe does not provide updated flash player versions for firefox higher than 11.2.

If you need a more recent version of the flash player, you have to use the chromium web browser instead of firefox.

Chrome comes with PepperFlash. You can use an installer to put it in Chromium. Installing Chrome is just easier, plus it makes Netflix work.

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restrcted-extras

Close all browsers and rerun. You can use TAB and ENTER to accept the licence.
