When you issued the command "bino" what happened?
Did a bino window open, or was there any message on screen, or...?

It seems that you have to ask at the address listed in the output of bino:

bino: [err] Caught signal 11 (Segmentation fault). Aborting.
bino: [err] Report bugs to <email address hidden>.
Aborted (core dumped)

I'm also suffering from this on Ubuntu 14.10. The crash for me appears just after selecting the file. May be the same bug as this: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=83370 Did you ever get round to filing a bug report on launchpad @biplabmallick-sal ?

Never-mind, there's a bug report here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bino/+bug/1366148

The solution I can confirm, is to compile from source following the instructions on this page: http://bino3d.org/download.html
Good luck! :)

Can you help with this problem?
