Bindu
I do not have a Canon lide110 scanner, or do upgrades. (Do new clean install) I have heard that sometimes, certain files do not upgrade correctly. Try removeing driver for the scanner, and reinstall it. Also remove scanner, in software and unplug it. Let computer reinstall scanner.
Good Luck

Also study settings on scanner, to see if a setting has changed. May have setting for one page or multiple pages. Do this first.

Install Sane from software center. This may work.
