Unhandled Lockdown error (-17)

Asked by Rick Miller

Afternoon:

When I looked this up, all I could find were "bug reports".(especially note (-17) I also ran: sudo apt-get install libimobiledevice-utils ifuse idevicepair unpair && idevicepair pair.... which DID NOT remedy the issue. Any suggestions?

THANX:
RICK

Please tell us when and where you received that error message.
Was it the response to a command? If yes, please provide the full command line that you gave and the full response.
Was it in system log messages? If yes, please provide the five lines before and after from that system log.
Was it with any other action, please tell what action that was, and everything that was happening.
What Ubuntu release are you running? Please add the output of the terminal commands "uname -a ; lsb_release -a"
You tell that this installation command should have helped but did not. Where did you get the instructions to do that, what should have happened with these commands, and what happened instead. (Please again with FULL command line and error messages).
Just quoting half an error message is not enough for any supporter to work on your problem.

To Manfred/Anyone:

OK, this "error" generated when I plugged my Iphone in. I was just about
to reply tha I had the problem fixed, when I saw you'd replied. Just for
others sake, if you had this problem with an Iphone, go to ITunes, plug in
your phone and look up "phone is locked in 'recovery" mode then follow
instructions. Manfred, except for the O.S disto and my comp specs, I hope
this answers some of your questions.
Thanx:
Rick
