Hard disks not opening

Asked by Dileesh

I have a dual boot ubuntu 14.04-windows 8.1 system.
First i installed windows and then ubuntu.
and the ubuntu boot loader was coming every time as usual.
then i had some problem and re-installed my windows.
after that both ubuntu and windows are showing the boot loader.
now if i log in to ubuntu, hard drives are not opening..
saying that windows is not shut down properly.
if i enter into windows and RESTARTS the system and log in to ubuntu, hard disks are opening..
but if the windows is SHUT DOWN and if i try to log in ubuntu first, hard disk problem is coming.
please help me to solve the problem and please give a solution to get rid of the windows boot loader too..

THE FOLLOWING ERROR COMES WHEN I TRY TO OPEN ONE OF MY HARD DRIVES
