GIMP in KUBUNTU 14.04

I have installed KUBUNTU 14.04 64 bit. But GIMP is not getting installed. Please help.

What is the output of:

sudo apt-get install gimp

This is the output of 'sudo apt-get install gimp'

biplab@biplab-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install gimp
[sudo] password for biplab:

unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another

If you reboot does it help? If not I can give a command to resolve the issue. Your packages are locked by a process.
