cd remains busy after eject with13.10 and no other cds can be mounted

Asked by Erike Magegere

I process several CD's at a time and this worked until 13.10. When the CD is ejected the new CD shows no files, even if the same cd is reloaded. I tried to delete the directory (media/eric/myfiles) it returns device can not be deleted as it is busy (user or root). Inserting any other CD (not my data cd's) give the same result. This works with 13.04 as I have retained that system as a dual boot. I also tried direct mount commands to mount the cd to /mnt (sudo mount /dev/sr0 /mnt) ans still get an empty directory.
after reboot I can mount one cd as described above

thus:
Put CD in drive ans see data
eject CD
put in another CD
directory empty

If you run :

sudo eject /dev/sr0

Is it ok?

yes "sudo eject /dev/sr0" ejects the CD and clears the busy. How we turn
it on to work as it did before or under user permissions?

If you use Unity shell is there not an icon for the CD you can right click and eject the device from there? This will unmount the disk and clear the busy as well as open the tray for you

Can you help with this problem?
