fresh install Saucy i386Desktop clicking on dash crashes the computer

as soon as I click on dash to open for checking on applications, my computer crashes. I am using saucy i386 desktop 32bit.I have to hard reboot to restart. IMy computer details are
 :Processor
ntel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz × 4
Graphics:Gallium 0.4 on NV46
OS type:32Bit
Disk:155.2 GB

I suggest you report a bug. Saucy is very young and you will see bugs and issues weeks after the first release.

IYhank you for that quick and very satisfactory response sir! I ws just wondering how will I get updates correcting those 'bugs' now, when my updater has died.

Keep updating. You can always sidestep the issue by installing xfce4 or lxde packages and switching from Gnome altogether til it gets more stable in the Unity Shell/Gnome session.

.Because my updater gets frozen, I used terminal to update. Yess!The saucy has been left with many bugs for the salamander to feed on;)
