transfer PPS attachement photos to shotwell

Asked by raymond house

Hi, I'm using ubuntu 13.04 and unity and I would like to know how I can transfer Photos sent to me in an PPS attacement in a email to my Shotwell photo manager. Everything I have tried does not work. It's a slide show where I have to click for each photo. This has happened before and I could never get it to work, can it be done? maybe not, I don't know. I am no expert, just like to use ubuntu. My computer is ubuntu only, since about 5 years. Thank you.

Than use the easy way: Press Shift+PrintScreen and mark the picture with the mouse!

I tried your suggestion Thomas, I get a symbol up on the picture but when I
click it with the mouse I get the usual error sound and nothing happens.

As per Thomas's suggestion, I find it works occasionaly and the pic is in my pictures file but when I open the picture it is just a dot of color, even if I expand it to max.

Open the slideshow in LibreOffice Impress and put the image onscreen and use something like Shutter to screen grab the section.

Hi Andrew, this works, I was trying to do that with Screenshot and not getting anywere. Still one thing though, google view wont show me all the pics and to get them all from the attachment I have to download them.Libre office impress will open them but it takes up all of the screen and I then don't have access to Shutter or screenshot etc..No launcher access! Any ideas on this?
