Can I install libreoffice 4.0.4 in my edubuntu 12.04?

Asked by Biplab Mallick

I am using Edubuntu12.04 and LibreOffice 3.6.0.1. When I try to run a presentation it crashes. So, I tried to install LibreOffice 4.0.4, but is shows "Error" and "Dependency is not satisfiable:libreoffice 4.0-en-us". So my question is that can I upgrade my LibreOffice?

How are you attempting to install the application?

You can install Libreoffice 4.0.3 using these Terminal commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-4-0

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install libreoffice

Libreoffice 4.0.4~rc2-0ubuntu1~ppa1 is available for Ubuntu 13.04 using that PPA, but not for Ubuntu 12.04.

Libreoffice 4.0.3 is available for Ubuntu 12.04 using that PPA.

Then I suggest you contact the PPA maintainer to report the issue.
