Run :

sudo -i

You can now move files where you wish in terminal. I recommend /opt for manual software installs. If you wanted to use nautilus then run:

ggksudo nautilus

And you can move files freely about the file system.

Is there no ppa or deb file to install with?

no, the file is a tgz file, already compiled... I don't understand why
it's not in the packages, as the other programs from the same source are.
But I am also having issues with the FTDI usb-serial port, the system sees
it, but it isn't accessible...

nothing is working as it should... I can copy the files over there, but
they won't work... there seems to be a lot of bugs in 13.04...

No, Flrig, the other programs install just fine, Flrig will not install. Flrig is the program I am trying to use. I could not get it to install in 13.04, so I reinstalled 12.04 (which I did have Flrig working in before 13.04 was installed) now I reinstalled 12.04 and can't get Flrig to install in here either now?

And why is there only 1 button here? (THIS DID NOT SOLVE ANYTHING) Just confusing me more, do you actually read the questions before answering them?
