which folder is .mozilla in for the bookmarks

somewhere in firefox/mozilla there is a hidden file .mozilla that contains the file bookmarks.htm can you please tell me the path to get to it so I can import my bookmarks from another folder.

You can run Firefox → Bookmarks → Organise Bookmarks → File → Export and there choose where to save it...

or

Your home folder → Ctrl + H (ot View → Show Hidden Files) → .mozilla → firefox → something.default (something = mad mixture of letters and numbers) → bookmarks.html

there may be a directory : ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/bookmarkbackups that contains several backup files of your bookmarks in .html format
