xdiagnose freezing on software updater

Asked by Steven Metzler

During xdiagnose update on automatic software updater it freezes at the end at the following line....

/tmp/tmpFIPHhI (END)

I have to press ctrl+c to end task and abort update operation.

I'm running ubuntu 12.10 sever with gnome shell installed..

Any solutions besides deselecting that update every time?

Get:1 Changelog for xdiagnose (http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/changelogs/pool/main /x/xdiagnose/xdiagnose_3.2.3/changelog) [18.5 kB]
xdiagnose (3.2.3) quantal-proposed; urgency=low

  * xdiagnose.udev: Disable GPU apport hook from being triggered by udev.
This should only be enabled during the development period. Apport is
disabled after release, but it appears the hook still gets triggered
    under certain circumstances.

Then subscribe to the bug and tick the "this affects me too" bit so the guys know it's not a single case

Hitting the 'q' key at the display of the changelog should let the installation continue.
