I haven't received any updates in weeks- updater claims there aren't any

Asked by Randy

I do not get an error. I just get the final message that my system is up to date. I used to get many updates each week. Also, I know I have Wine ver 0.9.50 and there should be at least one update to that as the WineHQ is now on Wine ver 0.9.52. I'm wondering if my system has been violated.

Hi:

I don't know what version of ubuntu you have or what repositories you are using.
so here you can see the wine package:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=wine&searchon=names&version=all&release=all
only Hardy has Wine 0.9.52.
It can be that there are no updates for you.
please do in a terminal:
sudo apt-get update
then
sudo apt-get dist-uograde
and see what you get

Thank You. I'm running 7.10 Gutsy
I did what you said. Claims there are no updates.

Gutsy only has version 0.9.46-0ubuntu1, as you can see from the link Rodrigo gave you. If you have version 0.9.50 installed, you've probably downloaded and installed it yourself somehow. I'd suggest going to the wine site, and using their instructions for upgrading from their own repository:

Lee,
You are correct. I changed the wine repository some time ago.
