Unable to install Google Earth

Try:

sudo apt-get --purge remove google-earth*
sudo apt-get --purge autoremove
wget http://dl.google.com/dl/earth/client/current/google-earth-stable_current_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i ./google-earth-stable_current_amd64.deb
sudo apt-get -f install

Rerun the app

It 'exactly what I did..... and "apt-get -f install" has also installed

pax:amd64 (20120606-2, automatic), rpm:amd64 (4.10.0-4, automatic), librpmbuild3:amd64 (4.10.0-4, automatic), librpmsign1:amd64 (4.10.0-4, automatic), lsb-core:amd64 (4.0-0ubuntu26.1, automatic), alien:amd64 (8.88, automatic)

The dpkg -i didn't work for me with the latest 32bit google earth (7.0.2.8415) on 32 bit ubuntu 12.10.
What did work was dpkg -i as well as manually installing lsb-core with apt-get.
