search panel in software center has gone missing after sqlite update.

Hi, I tried your advise, and this is what I got, but still , no search panel in the software center. I  request and need some further help please:rock@rock-Dimension-8400:~$ sudo apt-get --reinstall install software-center

The answer heped after I performed purge software-center command. Thank you all the same.

The purge command I performed was : sudo apt-get purge software-center. Then performed :
sudo apt-get --reinstall install software-center as advised, and all is well again with my software center. It is behaving well now.:-o).
