login keyring didnot unlock

Login screen password works. Attempt to connect to a wireless network. Enter network name, wireless security mode, wireless key and the same password from the login screen. System displays "The login keyring did not get unlocked when you logged into your computer. I know of only one password for my system. It works for the login screen, but not on the wireless connection screen?

From another post, perform the cp ~/.gnome2/keyrings/default.keyring ~/gnome.keyring.backup in a terminal session?

instead of cp, use mv. You can then reboot and make a new key which you can then set the password for.

Thanks. When I issued the cp command in the terminal, the command failed.
Could not locate the file?

yes the cp command failed. where do i execute this command?

The Ubuntu password works on the login screen. The Ubuntu password did not work on the wireless network sign in screen. However, after two entries of the password, the system accepted the password and displayed wireless network connected.
