12.04 install boot from disc only
Asked by
robert phillips
I am trying to install 12.04 onto an EEE machine that was running 11.0. I am using the 12.04 LTS 32 bit version. Each time the disc is run all goes well until the re-boot, then it say boot from disc and repeats the process. Each re-run of the disc creates a further set of disc partitions. The install is picking up the old user accounts and re-creating them. I need to install the 12.04 or back to 11.0 to retrive the data and then remove the additional partition. Any help would be great. thanks
