I want to build a laptop and install ubuntu what are the specs I would need on the laptop for it to run ok

I want to build a laptop and install ubuntu on it how big of an hard drive, ram, mother, wirless device, and other hardware parts would I need so the application can run ok.

Hi Steven,

Building a laptop isn't really possible. You might want to consider Dell's preinstalled options

http://www.ubuntu.com/dell

However, about 10gb of sace on he disc is fine for Ubuntu, it all depends on what you want to store of course.
256mb of ram should run it, but 512 or 1gb would be best.
Intel wireless devices seem to function the best and are used by most Ubuntu laptops. Avoid ATI graphics cards on the laptop, Intel and Nvidia cards work well.
